Muscular EnduranceWhat is Muscle Endurance? The third basic component of physical fitness, muscular endurance is the ability of the muscle to continue to perform without fatigue. Whereas muscle-strength is a measurement of your maxium muscle-power, in a one-off burst of energy, muscle endurance measures how long you can keep using a muscle (or a group of muscles) to sustain repeated muscular-contractions or to continue to apply force against a fixed object (isometric exercise). It's muscle power versus stamina. How to Improve Muscle Endurance?Useful exercises to boost muscle fitness like endurance and stamina, include push-ups (to improve endurance of arm and shoulder muscles, like biceps, triceps and deltoids), or squat-thrusts (to improve endurance of gluteal, quads and lower-thigh muscles). Alternatively, try cardio-aerobic activities such as stepping, power-walking, exercise-cycling, squash or jogging to improve lower-body muscular endurance.
